For spraying, you can use a nozzle that creates a fine fog and make a single pass across the surface. If brushing is used, you can break surface tension and minimize air entrapment by applying the release agent with a soft brush. You can then apply another light mist coating and let it stand for five minutes before applying mold rubber. You can dilute the mold release with water to create an active content of 0.5–2%. In some cases, a higher concentration may be preferable. Avoid applying too much mold release, as this can cause surface irregularities and poor welds.
