Description

PVA is a water-based or alcohol-based liquid used extensively in the composites industry. Unlike waxes or silicone sprays that stay oily, PVA dries into a thin, plastic-like film that creates a physical barrier between the mold and the part. PVA Mold Release Agent is a liquid solution designed to prevent resins (like epoxy, polyester, and vinyl ester) from sticking to mold surfaces Key Characteristics Film-Forming: Dries to form a smooth, flexible, and peelable green, blue, or clear film. Water Soluble: Once the part is released, the film can be easily washed off with warm water. Physical Barrier: Unlike chemical releases, it creates a literal layer of plastic between the resin and the mold. Non-Silicone: Safe for parts that require secondary bonding, painting, or coating, as it doesn't leave oily residues that cause 'fish-eyes.
